HNR 219R Honors Focus Course (0.5)

A discussion-based course focusing on a work or artist of major significance to world civilization. No prerequisites.

HNR 395R Honors Seminar (3)
A course on an interdisciplinary topic related to an issue treated in one or more of the university’s core courses. Prerequisites: honors student and junior or senior class standing.

HNR 497 Honors Thesis Research (1–3)
Supervised research in preparation for writing the honors thesis. Prerequisites: honors student, senior class standing, consent of instructor, and consent of honors program director.

HNR 498 Honors Thesis (2–3)
A researched-based thesis completed as a supervised independent study or cross-listed with a senior paper course, although the honors thesis is more in-depth and usually longer than a senior paper. Prerequisites: honors student, senior class standing, consent of instructor, and consent of honors program director.
